What do I Use J-Pins For?

Our J-pins are manufactured from 6mm diameter galvanised steel and used as an alternative fixing solution for u-pins when securing membranes, mats, grids, grass reinforcement meshes and grass protection meshes into uneven or hard ground where you may not be able to fully install a u-pin. With one side of the j-pin staple being 285mm long and the other side much shorter, it is easier to push this pin into tougher ground to secure your products.

Installations using j-pins is quick and simple; simply lay out your selected membrane, mesh or other product in the correct area and insert the j-pins into the ground at approximately 1m intervals. Ensure that the pin sits flush with the surrounding ground so there is no chance of tripping or falling over the pin. If the ground is hard and it is difficult to push the pin into the ground using your hands then use a rubber or wooden mallet to hammer each j-pin into the ground.
